Stories are essential for engaging customers and external stakeholders. Especially in tech, where things can move fast and get extremely complicated. Whether you’re a team looking for resources or a SaaS company trying to stand out, data on its own isn’t enough. A compelling story is the most effective (and cheapest) way to show value and drive action.

People enjoy my workshops on storytelling and presentation skills because they are fun and active. You’ll learn by doing, not just listening. We’ll use discussions, videos, and polls to explore ideas. We play improv games and do exercises to keep everyone involved. You’ll see how storytelling and presentation skills help in your job, and leave with tools you can use right away.

To ensure return on investment and maximise effectiveness, I’ll chat with members to learn about their challenges. In longer programmes, we’ll use group tasks to practise what we learn. I’ll also send guides to managers to make sure everyone is using the new skills and getting the most from the program.

My training is directly focused on the challenges faced by tech teams. Tech is complex and tech teams are diverse, so I help them use storytelling as a universal language.

With tech sales people, there’s also a tendency to “feature sell” and not listen to clients. My training shifts their focus: building empathy, and talking in the customer’s language.

I’ve also got workshops on other skills that are essential to tech. For instance, data storytelling, essential in data-driven companies.

Customised Modules. Modules are designed to meet the challenges of the team and fit into the format of the workshop. This ensures the training is engaging and directly applicable to the work at hand.

Scalable Sessions: Training sessions can be scaled to accommodate large groups. From experience, I’ve found short sessions are wonderful for building interest. We use these sessions to identify groups who would benefit from further learning.

Multi-Trainer Collaborations: For big events, I collaborate with my network of trusted trainers. This allows us to break down large groups into smaller, more manageable units. This means your team gets personalised attention and feedback.

 In a face-to-face workshop, we dive into exercises, improv games, and discussions. All in an engaging and safe environment. Participants learn communication frameworks, share stories, give presentations, and get helpful feedback. They leave with handy skills and a clear idea of how to explain complex tech topics in an exciting way.

Before we wrap up, we also reflect on how participants can apply the skills immediately. This ensures a quick transition from learning to practice.

Although I do have a degree in English Language and Literature, there are no formal qualifications for becoming a presentation skills and storytelling trainer.

My expertise was gained through delivering 3000+ presentations to over 100,000 people, refining my skills over time. I’ve also worked with 2000+ participants and gained positive feedback from major firms like HelloFresh, Raisin, Babbel and Salesforce. Team training varies in length from two hours to two days. For a really transformational experience, it’s better to spread the sessions over several weeks. Alongside the workshops, expect a half-hour to an hour of extra work. This setup helps you apply what you learn while continuing with your usual work tasks.
