It all started in an unusual way
My journey into communication started at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, on a hot day in 2010. I was a free-walking-tour guide. My job was to hold the attention of 40 strangers for three hours, and I'd only get paid if they thought it was worth it.
Over ten years and more than 3,000 tours, I learned what it actually takes to make people listen. Not scripts. Not charisma. The ability to read a room, find the story that matters to the people in front of you, and deliver it in a way that lands.
At the same time, I was producing music for chart-topping German artists. A completely different world, but the same lesson: if you can't make people feel something, nothing else matters.
What I do today
After a career pivot in 2018, I started working with senior leaders at companies like Pfizer, Salesforce, HelloFresh, and Zalando. The pattern was always the same: brilliant people, strong strategy, but the communication wasn't landing.
Today I help leaders and their teams build communication strategies that make organisations move. Not just better presentations. Better campaigns, across the right channels, delivered by the right people, in the right sequence.
Why I do what I do
Most communication problems aren't delivery problems. They're strategy problems.
Smart people doing important work who know exactly what needs to happen, but can't get the rest of the organisation to move. The problem is rarely the idea. It's how the idea travels. Which channels carry it. Who delivers it. What it sounds like when it gets there.
I start with what you're trying to make happen and who needs to move for it to work. Then we build the communication strategy to make that happen.
What I believe
The leaders who will define the next decade won't be the ones with the best strategy. They'll be the ones who can make people believe in it.
Most organisations still treat communication as something you bolt on at the end once the real work is done. That thinking is why so many good strategies die on the vine. The message never travels far enough, fast enough, or clearly enough to create action.
I believe communication is infrastructure. It's how strategy moves through an organisation. The companies that build that infrastructure deliberately will move faster and outlast everyone else.
Who I am
I'm English, based in Berlin, and working with leaders worldwide since 2018. I've worked in boardrooms, on stages, and over Zoom across Europe, North America, and Asia.
I'm not a born communicator. I had to figure it out the hard way. That's probably why I'm good at helping others do the same.
Outside of work I'm a proud dad, a keen reader, and a reluctant but enthusiastic cook.
Some of the clients I've worked with
HelloFresh, Zalando, Pfizer, ThyssenKrupp, Salesforce, Springer Nature, Babbel, Raisin, Scout24, KWS, Palo Alto Networks, and many more.
